Welcome to third grade! I am a proud graduate of Loyola University of Chicago. I have been a teacher at St. Catherine-St. Lucy since 1992. I have more than 30 years of experience teaching third grade, two years of experience teaching fourth grade, and one-year teaching fifth grade. In my opinion, third grade is a year of transition. We transition from addition and subtraction to multiplication and division. We progress from learning to read to reading to learn. Most importantly, we transition from teacher-directed activities to independent learning.
